Today the US News & World Report announced it has awarded Basking Ridge’s Ridge High School it’s Gold Medal for academic performance.  Ridge is the 5th ranked public school in the state and 14th overall among all New Jersey High schools.

Bernards High in Bernardsville ranked #33 in the same report, also an excellent showing by an excellent school, one that shares resources with Ridge.  West Morris Mendham came in at #40.

School systems are of course a key factor in decisions about where to live, along with access to transportation, good government and quality of life.  Many clients we meet say the Bernards Township school system is the most important criterion  in their decision to relocate here. The middle school is William Annin, and there are four elementary schools: Mt. Prospect, Liberty Corner, Cedar Hill and Oak Street. Together, the schools provide a fine education and do a great job of preparing our children for the college of their choice.

This drives demand for new and existing homes and as we have a shortage of home available for sale, we have begun to see the return of multiple offers for some homes.  The market was switched this spring from a buyer’s market to one that favors sellers, so we are seeing small but steady price increases so far this year.

Congratulations to Ridge and Bernards High Schools for achieving  the recognition they have truly earned.
